2010 Iowa Traveling Team Tournament
Jones Disc Golf Course on Saturday April 3rd, 2010. 8 teams to participate.
TEE TIME IS 9 AM!!!
10 Person teams made up of 5 Open, 3 Advanced, 1 Master, 1 Woman
$200 per team/$20 per person
The advanced player will not have a rating higher than 960. Your final rating from 2009 will determine your division level eligibility. This update should be in January 2010 and will not be an issue because the next rating update will not come out until mid April.
The format will be singles match play. Each player will play 7 matches against the same number seed of every team. The TOP 2 Teams will go on to play 10 man alternate shot SAFARI match-play finals.
Positions are open to anyone. Best players for the 10 positions will be decided among everyone who is interested 2 weeks before the tournament. If you are at all interested let Garrett or myself know, we need 10 people for the categories above.

It's kind of a stretch for Ames but I'm willing to bet we've never shown our face at this tournament before. It should be fun and hell if we win we get to host it next year.

We will put it to a vote on who is playing and what division they are playing in. All people who show an intrest in being on the team will vote. The voting system. Each player will submit a list of 5 open, 3 adv, 1 Master, and 1 Woman.

The meeting had on Saturday night apparently did not give us enough feedback from players around the area on how to run the playoffs. We will be talking further about it throughout the week to get a definite. Just an FYI there are many players who are against playing 4 rounds. This could easily mean playing only 2 or three for a matter of convenience and to give everyone an opportunity to play.

Scorecards for the Ames Team State Qualifier will be available this Saturday (2/20). $5 for individual scorecards contact Josh Lyster @ 515-231-1495, Garrett Miller @ 319-213-1007, Zach Moses @ 515-419-9886 or Josh Faas @ 515-460-0380 to get your scorecard. Important: Rounds can not be started until March 1st and ALL scorecards must be turned into one of the three of us by noon on the 16th of March. Any questions at all feel free to contact any one of us at the number's above. Let's tear some shit up.

It will be 35 in total for the initial scorecard. 18 at ISU and 17 at Carroll (we're not playing hole 18 at Carroll because of the sledders). If you decide you didn't play to your potential the first two rounds you can purchase a second scorecard and play the rounds again and then 4 rounds will be averaged (2 at each course).

A couple of us are going out today to try to scoop off the pads out at 13th. Would greatly appreciate if there were extra shovels, picks, and bodies to help out! We should be there around 330 or 4.
