You should get a Mike Vick jersey to give to the player with the worst score or something. |

| We have allready added a few sponsors for this event. Bloomers Pizza In The Valley has donated lots of Pizzas and coupons, and is also serving pizza for lunch on site. If anyone gets close to Coal Valley and looking for a pizza please stop in and try them out. Teskes Pet Supply was nice enough to donate some raffle items, and there are several more prizes coming in. |

This just in: The grand prize at this years ace race will be a Nintendo Wii.
I will sort throught the old thread and post the whole scoring system unless someone else gets time to do it tomorrow.
Also in the skills contest this year you will be able to throw your own discs, and you will be able to throw any circular object thats only source of propulsion is the human body. I am really curious to see how far an Aerobie Ring can fly. |

Awesome.
The Wii for a final prize is better than the TV, IMO. _________________ www.ironliondgs.com

OK, here's the specifics:
The course will be played from the red tees or closer. You get 2 shots at each of the 25 holes. If you hit nothing you pick up your disc and go on to the next hole. If you ace you will get 5 pts., hit the chains 2 pts., and anything else metal on the basket you will get 1 pt. You must have 5 pts. to qualify for the finals. The finals will be sudden death and you must ace to win, no points system in the finals.
There will also be a skills contest incorporated into each of the 2 rounds that will involve driving distance, upshot accuracy, and putting. The skills contest scoring will not affect your ace race score and will have a totally separate prize for the person with the highest points.
Since this is a charity event we also offer mulligans 3 for $5.00 to be used in the first 2 rounds of play.
For every 5 points you earn in regulation you will recieve a throw at each hole in the finals. So if you earned 10 points you would get 2 throws per hole, 15 points- 3 throws and so on.
We have already received sponsorship commitments from, The Iron Lion, B&B Hardware, Walman Optical, Mary Kay, The Happy Dog Bakery, Hippy Golf Wear, Orange Guy Disc Golf Stuff, Quad City Disc Golf CLub, and several others. This is a great time for a great cause, please come out enjoy the day with us no matter what skill level player you happen to be.
Just a reminder, Milan doesn't sell beer until noon on Sundays. |
