I was told once to post in the stuff index -- that it would get more people involved -- not everyone goes to the Camden thread.

So here I go...

Thursday we are trying to get a big turnout of help from 5:30 to 7:30 in an effort to get the Camden II course finished. I'm in my 350th hour of work over 3months along with a small group of faithful workers...we would very much like to have some extra hands to finish this baby off - so we can start playing it!

Paul Roesner has offered up a Fat Tire Keg for a volunteer party if we can get this done by July 4th. Right now we are getting bogged down and the deadline is approaching fast. We need more hands (it's not hard work - we're just getting worn out) So please join us Thurs. so we can get this thing one step closer to being finished.

Thank you in advance

Do we have a plan of what needs to get done or what we will try to accomplish on thursday night? ill bring my chainsaw and work on the trees that came down in the storm and could use a couple of people to help burn it as its cut. if we get a good turn out id just like there to be a plan to keep everyone busy. Thanks again chris for all your hard work and dedication.

yes - we will be building stone or wood stairs into the ravines. We could use some pole saws - and loppers.

I would like to finish hole 7 as well - so if you could drop the tree on Hole 17 and then walk 200ft over to hole 7 and cut a little - I'll try and have it marked off for what needs cut.

If Ras is available with his chainsaw - I'll use him for building stairs (we might needs steps cut out of downed trees) Hole 4 right next to hole 7 has a great deal of downed trees in the creek to use for steps - so if we can cut them up and use'em right where they lay that would be easy enough.
Bring Shovels!

Pole Saw - Hole 5 still needs a trim and Hole 13's green needs work as well.

Burn Piles will need attended.

Gas Weedeaters would be an asset!!!

That will keep us busy - if we get more hands then we'll just build more steps into the ravines.

Do you guys do this on the weekends at all? No one from Dubuque has really traveled anywhere except for CR so far this year. A couple of us have tried to get plan a Saturday outing somewhere, but it hasn't taken off yet. I usually try to get down to the QC area atleast once a summer to get a few in at Camden and Geneseo, generally around the John Deere Classic weekend. If you're doing work on a weekend prior to it might entice me to get down to play and give a few hours.

This course will have things to do every day until Women's Nationals, and even then we'll probably have projects we'd like to work on - it's a monster!

We'd love to have you Kelly! Thanks Again!

The next work day we will be focusing on a few areas:
1)Paths between 4/5,5/6,9/10,12/13,15/16,17/18 they all need work.
2)Directional arrows
3)Mulching
4)Stairs
5)Weedeaters
6)Drop Zones
7)OB stakes

How much we get done Thursday will depend on how many people show up. If we have another 20+person day - we'll get a lot done!
