...As far as the course goes, there will be some new additions. I am also going to bring back some of the older holes. If you have played the all, most of it will be familiar. I plan to use the cutout area Evan made last year, but will probably be playing it in reverse. Im planning a few trips out there to get it better than ever.

>>Please Note Changes to Dates/Formats in Opening Post

Okay so here is the deal. One of the things I have been asked about was continuing the Saturday Doubles tradition, the other has been open play for singles. I decided early on to do the Open to anyone singles but am having second thoughts, not only about the day, but also the format as a whole.

There has always been a Matzen Doubles, and its the best way to prepare for Sunday if your on a limited schedule. While there are many chances to get practice in there if your part of the staff, its hard for anyone without the time for that small window.

What I am planning is Singles/Doubles. Im sure there is a proper term for it, but what I mean is this: Bring your own partner doubles, 1st round you play singles and use your best combined score. The second round will be best shot doubles.

Matzen Lake is one of my favorite weekends on the schedule. Im sorry to anyone who made plans based off previous dates and posts. Its totally my fault, the original dates fell through and I have to run it when I can. As its primarily a local event, Im just trying to satisfy our base.

The 1st round confuses me. So my partner and I just play the round individually and we take whomever's score is best? Or we add both mine and my partners score together? If its the ladder, I feel bad for my partner.

Guess I better start looking for someone who wants to pair up with me :/

Yes. If you par hole 1 and your partner birdies, you take the birdie. Youd be suprised how well it works out, dont sell yourself short.

Entry Fee for King of Courses Final on Sunday will be

$15 + $1 for each King of Courses you missed...

For example:

Mike Freburg misses one KOC all season, so his entry is $16

or Pat Baumunk only played one KOC all season so his entry fee is $29

Keep in mind-- we've got a ton of added for each division that you all have been paying into all year.. A few small expenses may be deducted from this but overall each division has $1 from each person that played that division all year... Advanced is almost $200 right now..

Thus-- Low entry fee, free camping, once a year course to play, and tons of fun!!! Hope you all take advantage of this weekend!!!

And if the ace fund remains "un hit" by Matzen---- we will be paying it out there... Probably split amoungst divisions somehow, but it will get paid out..

The thought is that if it makes it through Matzen it will be split between divisions, and then maybe split again, so 2 people can win per division.

...Or, we could cap it at a certain number to start next season and then split between divisions. Say its 700$, we could take 1oo-200 and start next season with that, split the rest to each divison.

I dont care, I just dont want one person hitting a huge CTP and would rather see everyone have a shot at something.

You can do what we did for Bushwhackers one year... if the ace fund is 600 bucks. You just to 6 CTP throw offs for 100 bucks a piece.
If she can't swim....she's bound to drizzown.
