How many regular users are on IowaDG.

Postby Dale Jordal » Fri Jun 24, 2011 5:13 pm

I see on the front page there are 77,673 registered users.... but of that number does any one know how many regular users visit or use IowaDG at least once a week? Is 2,000 in the ball park? more/less? Also there would be a good percent of users who view the site but would not be registered as well.

No jokes about users ( you all know I mean users of this site ).

I expected a few of these posts ..........but seriously if any one has this data I would like it yet this weekend if possible.

I found other disc golf sites in Iowa & Minnesota average 300 - 1,700 users.
The PDGA site is at 128,700 unique viewers who are on approx 341,000 times a month.

Again if anyone knows the average number I would like to have got ASAP.

Thank you

looks to be anywhere from 200-300 regular users. sort the memberlist by posts decending and it shows the people with 6k to 50 posts. that's about the range. some have gone, some are just starting but 200ish seems about right. MDR or balk could quantify it for sure. most of those "registered users" are spammers that neeed to be filtered out. i could help if anybody knows how to do that, mike?

there are 574 actual users whom have posted. all the 0 post names were not counted.

I could find some numbers for you, but I don't know how accurate they are. I know there are more lurkers than regular posters.

it's a tedious task...I could show you how to do it until you get sick of it.

yeah, you can delete a page at a time, but you have to make sure you're not deleting real users.

not necessarily, there are people who haven't been approved yet or people who registered but never posted anything. it's usually pretty easy to know who is real and who isn't. give me a call when you are ready and i'll walk you through it.
