More Questions

I have asked some questions last fall since I was new to Disc golf. I have some more questions. I did one tourney last year and would like to do a bunch more. When I look at flyers for tourneys they have different levels that you can play in. Open/Pro/Adv/Int/Beg. I do somewhat know what these mean but would like a better understanding on how you know what level you should be in. I also had seen somethings about a players rating, I imagine that is through PDGA, how does the ratings work. Also was curious about Master and Grandmaster division, I guess that has to do with age, but do not know where the age cutoff starts or ends. I know that there is alot of questions on this, but I like knowing about something before getting in ankle deep, thanks.

That should answer your age question.

Masters = 40 or older (eligible the year you turn 40 so you can play at 39)
Grandmasters = 50 (same deal 49)

Not PDGA standards but my understanding of the divisions
Open = top guys playing for cash
Adv = top guys playing for plastic
INT = everyone else
REC = first tournament

I check out the charts ..... looks like I am offically:

Advance Grandmaster Novice ... who is probably ready to give up ever reaching the Recreational level status :oops: . but a game I still enjoy, and I admire watching the ADV and PROs throw.

Could not have said it better, I will never be a pro, but enjoy getting outside and chucking some plastic
