Possible Norwalk Glo tourney

Possible Norwalk Glo tourney

Postby ghstinshll » Tue Jul 10, 2007 4:19 pm

Hey guys, I know there's the Altoona Glow tourney that we're all looking forward to...

After looking @ the Innova catalog (to order more discs to sell), & seeing the glo plastic - the park director thought it'd be cool to put on a glow tourney. While I'm not stepping up yet - I'm going to put together a "Fred Thompson caliber feeler campaign."

So, what I want to know:

1) Those of you who have run tourneys, how do I start?

2) Tell me the best you remember from past glo events

3) Tell me about the worst from some events

4) Tell me about "must have" items...

Here are some of my ideas:

Glo sticks for players to wear
Ways to light up the baskets for targets
Some kind of grill out prior to event (ala Cory's pancake breakfast)
If Black Jax's products pass my testing, maybe an event sponsorship?

Who friggin knows, I'm just tossing some ideas around... Please let me know what you think...

Do you think you could get the creek to glow?

Altoona always has a band.

What would the drinking situation be at the park?Image

Ok, this I know, DONT SHOW and DONT TELL and everyone will be ok with it (manly because its dark and no-one will see :D )

I will talk to Nancy tomorrow and see if we can have a permit because the park will be offically closed, we just might be able to pull this off.

and as far as making the creek glow, If you drink enough of them glow sticks, Im sure by the time you make it to hole 3 to take care of bussness, the creek will glow for a little while
