hey this year for the cyclone disc golf club league Bikeworld allowed them to pay out in "bikeworld bucks". they made it so that the payout was bigger and then you could go to bikeworld and pickout your own disc. it would be double the normal payout, so if first place was going to get $6 they would get $12 to bikeworld instead.

You are 100% correct. If you want to go with a format where one person can play just as well by staying home and sitting on the couch then go for it. I prefer to play a format where there is motivation to do well and you aren't penalized for making good shots.

It will be OK.

Our league is less about competition and more about having fun being on the course. This is just another opportunity to shake things up and have everyone bond over a few horrible shots. It's also an opportunity to have the experienced players coach the rec players on how to play out of trouble. Rest assured we're not going to play this format from the tips. I'm planning on using the Stable Run red-red course so we're not there all night. Plus, first putt made is good.
