Quick updates (Help me spread the word):

1. If you are bringing a basket, try to be there between 7:30 and 8:00. If you are not, we are pushing the registration back about 30 minutes to accommodate golf course staff and minimize wait if there is any frost.
2. The awards and raffle held at Fireside Grille after the 2nd round and ACE throw off (if needed) will have an added bonus we haven't had in the 5 previous years of the event. Grant (ProFlight Discs) will be set up in the party room while we are out in the main area. This will keep people from having to run in and out to shop their payout and it will keep Grant from having to stand outside in the cool dark air while we are inside winning stuff, drinking a cold one, and eating some really good food :P .
3. Please -- no checks tomorrow unless it is an emergency. Everything works better if all of the event funds are in cash.

The people at the course and Fireside are looking forward to it as I hope you are too.

Roughly 10 o'clock start? What is the lastest time you would like us to check in? I plan on being there close to nine but would love to be able to get a few more minutes of sleep saturday morning if possible.

10:00 would be worst case scenario. If you are paid for, about 8:45 would probably be the latest I would suggest. With the way I have things ready to go better than in years past, if there is no frost we could still get started by 9:30.

Just for clarification, here is the tentative schedule for the morning:

PLAN A (no frost or other SNAFU's):
8:00AM - 9:00AM Registration/sign in
9:15 Player's Meeting
9:30 Start

Plan B (Frost on the ground):
8:00AM - 9:30AM Registration / sign in
9:45 Players Meeting
10:00 Start

Anyone that's been to an event on a regular disc golf course knows that most events follow a schedule but never offer up a guarantee. In this case we are at the mercy of the conditions on someone's property. As I have said I see this being a minor issue at the most, but don't want someone showing up too late and getting left out or someone having to cut out before we are done because they "didn't know" we might not start on time.

I know that some of you are playing the triples on Sunday (wish I could) or live a ways out of town, so believe me when I say if we are allowed to start on time.....we will start on time. I hope that alleviates any questions you may have on the schedule.

On a positive note: I am doing something a little fun with the player packs that I will talk about in the morning. Stay tuned 8) .

Its a good thing we type on here, because after that raffle I don't have much of a voice left 8) . What a day! It turned off pretty nice overall and the wind was brisk but not out of control. Jealous I couldn't be out there playing, but watching and hearing about scores (good :P and not so good :( ) is fun as well. I know the raffle was a marathon -- I hope no one got skunked with that many prizes given out. I am partnering with Corey to get the scores organized and ratings established. We will post that when that is done.

I have a million thank you's to shout out and comments to make on how much I appreciate everyone who came out, but I am whipped and no focused :| . Stay tuned.

Yep, great fun again. I really do like these holes; a lot of good challenges, particularly at my skill level (which is apparently slightly above Niels' skill level :P ).

On a side note, I saw something I've never seen before. A putt from someone on my card landed and balanced on the rim of the basket. We watched it for a minute and it stayed on. I don't recall if we gave it to him, but I'm thinking that doesn't count as in anymore. He was putting with a driver due to the wind, so the wider rim probably gave it more to balance on. Pretty cool to see.

I found a sweet glass mini somebody probably got at Glass Blown. If you're missing one - let me know. I have it.

Another great tournament Damon. Thank you for running this every year. Nothing better than disc golf on a golf course. It was a joy watching Duden tear up the course. Unfortunately I failed to record a birdie in the 2nd round but he had enough for the both of us. Nice win!
