This will be our third year of doing the bushwhacker tournament and I think people are more excited about drinking out of the trophy than winning any money. With having 64 guys this year our brackets will be perfect. However, I know some can't play which means first round byes which I'm ok with because It's totally random. Plus you get your handicap and it's only 5 bucks to play!

Sounds fun, sign me up!

** Please Read Edited First Post **

We are back to 18 hole matches, Sat only, yada yada...

Obviously this is less than ideal, but I think we can still make a fun day out of it. I did a poor job of getting the eastern Iowa guys involved. I'm going to try to coordinate with Chase to make a date and venue work for the QC guys next year. That could constitute nearly half of a 64 player bracket. Possibly Penninsula...

I might need to recruit one or two players if anyone drops out. Heard a rumor T(2) and Lindsley might be interested in playing. Please let me know if you are still in or out if you were one of the guys who was paid or showed interest.

I just re-read that first post. Not sure if I'm making myself clear. There's a championship bracket of 16 players. Keep winning and you will play for the championship. Most of the money goes to 1st and 2nd. If you lose along the way you drop to a 1-loss bracket where you are playing for some money back. If you lose twice, you are out. So 4 people are out after 2 rounds. There will then be 8 players who are 1-1, and 4 left in the championship bracket. Those 4 are guaranteed $40. The 8 players who are 1-1 will essentially be playing a $20 match that final round.

I've been talking this up since I first heard and also can't believe the low amount of interest. My biggest problem now is skipping Shueyville. I've never done this before and would hate to be the guy that backed out but I'd rather be able to play Shuey if only 16 players showed up.
