Well, we're lucky we live in Iowa, if only for this reason. I remember years ago Rodney (maybe?) posted, or sent out an account of a parks board meeting in California somewhere. Someone was trying to get approval for a disc golf course, and the meeting deteriorated quickly into a shouting match, with stories of babies killed by errant throws landing in their strollers and metal rimmed golf discs. They probably have a point in some instances, even if their methods were bad. Some parks are too crowded for disc golf. Would be one thing if we still played with Wham-Os; not quite the risk of metal tipped lawn darts, but could truly be dangerous. In Iowa we can just find a little used park (hell, all of our parks are little used in comparison ). I can only imagine the trouble in more populous states.
